Yesterday evening 2 hours before high tide. The water level by the entrance gate was above my wellies
The water level turning left on the path towards the Island hide was at least 3 feet deep
And toward the tower hide would have been over my head as I can't normally see over the reeds
A disaster for our reed warblers
The levels this pm have gone down somewhat though still too deep to get to the tower hide
And this is the route to the island hide
The entrance to the island hide
Lots of islands still under water
This was the only wildlife on the water
An isolated tower hide from the other side of the river
Stafford marsh has also been badly affected though now clear of water
